Behavior and Relationship Observation - 847 Words

Behavior observation Conformity is a general concept that refers to changing ones behavior which is caused by another person or group.in other words it results to someone acting in some way due to the influence they got from others (Kenrick, Neuberg, Cialdini, 2007). For the purpose of this paper, I have made the assumption that the people I am observing are a couple taking into account the preformed ideas of how couples do behave. I have also made an assumption that that they are in a love relationship and they are married. For people who are in a relationship they have to try and understand each other. They also have to conform their behaviors according to their partners so that they can understand each other more in the relationship. Conformity is not an easy concept especially when one is required to make major behavior changes in their lives. Therefore there are pre-conformity behaviors that could be observed in the man before he fully demonstrated a conforming behavior. The pre-conforming behavior was such as constantly forgetting what he was expected to do since this was a relatively new thing for him. There were instances where he totally forgot or did what was expected of him halfway without completion. There are several types of conformities which include; normative conformity. Normative conformity involves an individual changing their behavior so that they can fit well into a particular group (Kenrick, Neuberg, Cialdini, 2007).
